Natalie

My Natalie has been sick with a flu-like illness lately. She seems to be doing much better. I have been thinking of her and I love these two photos of her from when she was littler.

He's Everywhere

Nathan and I took this photo the other day. He thought it was the coolest thing so I am posting it for him. He is my little buddy.

Aunt Katie Wearing Hyrum And Harker's Shoes

The dark one is Hyrum's 8 and the other Harker's 10.

Poison Control

Have you ever taken someone else's medication. Apparently, it is pretty easy to do if you're holding them in your hand while you get yourself a drink. Reflex. Poison control said she'll live but lay off the heart meds.

My Guy Girl Scout Event

Natalie and I got to attend her first official Girl Scout event tonight. It was a daddy daughter event. It was very fun and she was so excited. There were games, dinner, dancing, and crafts. What more could a little girl want?

No Brain, No Pain

I believe the city purchasing office needs to get an education. This new doggy cop truck is the latest example. Most would look at this truck and not think twice about it. This after all is Gallup, NM and we have more than our share of wild and neglected dogs running around. But what most don't see is the blatant ignorance or mishandling of city funds. Now to be fair, I was not able to confirm that this was indeed bought and paid for by the city, but it may as well be.

Why? What makes this mishandling of funds? Well unless something in the doggy world has changed that I missed, this truck is over-kill. A standard 1/2 ton pickup would have been more than enough truck for this fiberglass bed and a Saint Bernard, a Mastiff, a Newfoundland, a Dogue de Bordeaux, a Great Dane, and a Perro de Presa Canario and I don't see a lot of those running around, much less wild. Also, there would be the issue of fitting one of these breeds in one of those compartments. But hey, we got money, let's buy a heavy duty 3/4 ton truck. Never mind that the stiffer suspension will bounce the kidneys right of any thing in the back.

But hey it's only money, and if you don't spend it all this year you may get less next year.
